opens tomorrow at the hall of the FundaciĆ³n Marcelino Botin, Santander, the exhibition: "Mariano Salvador Maella (1739-1819). Drawings of a court painter in the Enlightenment." The event takes place within the research project on the drawing of the great English masters that the Foundation was launched in 2007, and interest also because it is the first time devoted a sample of this artist in our country.
Previous research and catalog raisonne are due to Jose de la Mano, associate professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and curator of the exhibition, who will visit it, scheduled for late May.
Thus, a total of seventy-four drawings will be available for our enjoyment until June 5 (12 to 14 and from 18.30 to 21.30), at the headquarters of the Foundation (C / Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola, 3 .) Any opportunity for art lovers, and in particular of the drawing, so little appreciated, generally within our borders.
